Why the Greece Jazz Band? Ruth was initially invited to join the Greece Jazz Band. She likes the variety of music that the band plays, the camaraderie, and "practice makes perfect." Ruth likes being "one of the guys" and playing lots of gigs. She is glad to have the opportunity to play in a band after not playing her trumpet for 28 years.

Interesting Facts/Stories: When Ruth was in high school 40 years ago, she was not allowed to be in the "all boys" dance band, so she never learned how to play swing music or improvise.
