Started in Started Fall 2005


Musical Background: Progressed rapidly from 2nd grade chorus to flutophone, on to trumpet in the 4th grade. Dodge ball took on a whole new meaning in the cafegymnatorium, where balls and bad notes would fly at the same time. Enjoyed going through the music programs of the Binghamton School District. Thank you, Mr.Maiolo, Mr. Thompson, Mr.Shifrin, with a special thanks to Tom Mann. Binghamton Community College, SUNY Alfred, Alfred University, RIT jazz bands were stops along the way with the JJ Big Band in NH being the last stop about 12 years ago.

Favorite Music: Standard Jazz, Big Band, Classic Rock

Wishes he could play like: 4th year Eastman Student

Family: 2 sons in college, 1 daughter in 2nd grade, 1 labrador, and a tolerant spouse.

Vocation: Territory Manager for Lebanon Turf, professional turf products

Hobbies/Interests: Rediscovering the horn, car shows, anything that brings me to the lake or ocean.

Why the Greece Jazz Band?: The band was just what I needed to get back playing again, plus they said I could come back after my first rehearsal! ...Great group with a very active schedule, challenging charts.

Interesting facts / stories: My great uncle was in the Army band with my wifes uncle who played with my college band director, who was the great uncle of Kevin Bacon. .I made that last part up.
